ABSTRACT Domain repositories, i.e. repositories that store, manage, and persist data pertaining to a specific scientific domain, are common growing in the research landscape. Many of these develop close, long-term communities made up individuals organizations collect, analyze, publish results based on repositories. Connections between datasets, papers, people, an important part knowledge infrastructure surrounding repository. All objects, can now be identified using various unique persistent identifiers (PIDs) it is possible for domain build their existing facilitate accelerate identifier adoption process. As community members contribute multiple datasets articles, them, once found, used times. We explore this idea by defining connectivity metric applying collected papers published UNAVCO community. Finding DataCite Crossref metadata spreading those through increase from less than 10% close 50% people organizations.
